Cellardore is an exciting new dance music producer who is fusing the unlikeliest of sounds into proven killer dancefloor tracks.
Joe Sheldrick – aka Cellardore – has been DJing throughout London for over a year and has played at some of the most notable underground/conscious dance events in the city, including Planet Angel, Wonderland and of course at the Acidic Records parties where he has opened for Far Too Loud and the Equalizers. Within months he was playing sets exclusively comprising of his own tracks and later would introduce a more dynamic element to his sets, inviting a full band to play live alongside him on stage at Planet Angel’s prestigious 10th birthday party.
But he hasn’t allowed his success on the club circuit to interfere with his production, and has turned out a succession of awesome club bangers, cheeky bootlegs and filthy beats. Many of these have been picked up by DJs and have since been widely played throughout London and beyond, most notably on the Main Stage at The Glade 2009 – twice!
Cellardore’s debut EP, Patterns In The Smoke, is dance music with attitude. It combines junglist breakbeats and driving drum n’ bass with punk vocals and live instrumentation, including guitars, classical violins and saxophones recorded and sampled (and often played) by Cellardore himself. With Patterns In The Smoke now on general release and also available as a high quality download, Cellardore looks set to take the club scene by storm.
